Winter Action and Adventure in Iceland

Winter is unique. One only has to open ones' eyes to see grandeur and beauty on every horizon. The natural rhythm of the days shapes the colorful shadows of the earth and the cold magnificence of the pure ice. This land is another world, offering a huge spectrum of activities, even bathing outside in geothermal water when it is snowing!
Day 1
Transfer from Keflavik airport to Reykjavik with a short orientation
tour of Reykjavik / Dinner and overnight stop in Reykjavík.
Day 2 A Super Truck Adventure
The group will be divided into the jeeps. A team of 4-6 persons will join their specially adapted 4x4 Super trucks for an adventure to “Þingvellir National Park” recently added to UNESCO´s World Heritage List / Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring area and Hengill Mountain area. Þingvellir National Park splendidly scenic place of tremendous geological and historic interest located in a rift valley, the boundary between the two tectonic continental plates of North-America and Europe / Lunch will either be an outdoor seafood buffet or at a local restaurant / Snow safari in the afternoon, 1 hour: 2 persons on each snowmobile. Points can be given for achievement of tasks en route during the drive. The majestic waterfall Gullfoss (the Golden Waterfall), perhaps Iceland’s most beautiful. The world-famous, fascinating Geysir area, where hot springs and other geothermal phenomena abound, and where the very active geyser Strokkur spouts every few minutes. Return to Reykjavík in the late afternoon / Transfer return and Dinner at a downtown restaurant / Overnight stop at hotel.
Day 3 Horse riding Adventure
Blue Lagoon / Coach and guide will pick up guests at hotel / We drive to the horse centre located just outside Reykjavik. Necessary equipment is provided such as helmet, protective clothes and boots if you need them / The Icelandic horses are much smaller than those elsewhere and are very surefooted. We carefully choose horses appropriate to the skills of the rider / Lunch at the Riding Centre / Drive to the unique Blue Lagoon for a nice and relaxing bath in its warm blue waters. A cocktail is served the Blue lagoon during the bath / Towels are provided / We stay at the Blue Lagoon for 1.5 hrs before driving back to Reykjavik / Farewell Dinner at Perlan, the renowned panoramic restaurant of Reykjavík / Overnight at hotel.
Day 4
Breakfast / Transfer to airport.
